Their earlier Nautilus 5712 replica established a solid reputation—many enthusiasts actually preferred it over the PPF version for its richer dial color, more accurate moon phase disc, refined hands, and deeper movement engravings. Then, the factory went silent without giving much of an explanation. Now OME is back taking orders, bringing out a revised V2 edition of the Nautilus 5712 alongside an all-new release: the Cubitus 5822P.
Nautilus 5712 V2: Examining the Movement Upgrades
The V2 update focuses entirely on refining the super clone 240 movement architecture. Rather than changing the exterior, OME targeted two key areas on the main movement plate to bring it closer to genuine Patek Philippe finishing:
- Golden Tube Surrounding the Ruby Bearing: On genuine calibers, a brass-colored bushing rings the jewel setting. The V1 omitted this detail, but the V2 reproduces the golden surround with correct proportions.
- Corrected C-Shaped Plate Opening: The cutout geometry adjacent to the balance bridge has been reshaped into a distinct C-profile, replacing the flatter cutout found on the original release.
Beyond these specific tweaks, the movement plates on the V2 carry noticeably deeper, sharper engravings than PPF’s 5712. The plate surface also looks brighter and cleaner under macro lenses, giving a higher-end impression through the sapphire caseback.

OME Cubitus 5822P: First Hands-On Impression
The newly introduced Cubitus line from Patek Philippe has generated a ton of buzz, and collectors have been asking whether a proper super clone of the 5822P exists. OME’s new entry adopts the same super clone 240 base movement used in their 5712, built into the angular, square-cased profile of the Cubitus.
The sunburst blue dial responds well to changing light conditions, keeping a rich tone without appearing washed out or overly glossy.

OME vs. P1 Factory: P1 was early to the market, but their movement design is fundamentally inaccurate. The micro-rotor location and balance wheel placement sit in the wrong positions relative to genuine caliber 240 specs. Given P1’s higher price tag, it is tough to recommend over OME.
