Side by Side Dial Color and Paint Tone Accuracy

Matching a pastel shade like Tudor’s Flamingo Blue is a nightmare for replica makers. If the base primer is too thick or the lacquer mix is slightly off, the dial ends up looking like cheap painted plastic under natural sunlight. This is where most earlier factory runs failed miserably.

Things get really interesting when you throw ZF into the mix. In the three-way shot below, the genuine sits in the center, M+ is on the left, and ZF is on the right. You can immediately spot how ZF missed the mark on color temperature—their blue leans noticeably darker and muddy.
